American Claims Management, Inc. (ACM) has been selected as the third party claims administrator for the International Tourist Program of National Unity Insurance Company. The contract, effective April 1, 2016, involves roughly 2,000 new personal auto and commercial trucking claims annually.
Citing ACM’s success in handling claims for two other National Unity programs, their selection was based on ACM’s customized service and aggressive claims handling, said ACM’s president of property & casualty, Dhara Patel.
Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, National Unity is the leader in insuring vehicles traveling from Mexico to the United States. The company owns more than 60 percent of this niche market, with more than 24 years of uninterrupted service.
Securing a third party administrator that could manage a high volume of both commercial trucking and personal auto claims with a superior customer service reputation was a key concern of National Unity. ACM’s hard line approach in claims handling, incorporating a special investigative unit and advanced expertise in subrogation and salvage, were also primary considerations.
“Within three months of taking over claims handling for National Unity in California and Georgia, ACM was able to close out more than 60 percent of the inventory,” said Patel. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with National Unity in yet another program, to produce the same successes.”
